ICDS seminar

ICDS Scheme represents one of the world’s largest and most unique programmes for early childhood development. The main objectives of ICDS scheme are:

  • To improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age group of 0- 6 years.
  • To help in building foundation for good physical, psychological and social development of children.
  • To reduce incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition and school dropout
  • To enhance capability of mothers to take care of their children with respect to health and hygiene.

AAK KAMANI PRIVATE LIMITED sponsored a workshop for ICDS conducted by College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan.

A nutrition awareness program was conducted for the Anganwadi teachers to understand the essentials and best practices in nutrition. After having highlighted the benefits of consuming wholesome and nutritious food for children as well as women, a demo was given on easy to prepare nutritious recipes.

It was a good interactive session, which helped the Anganwadi teachers clear all misconceptions and doubts related to food.

It is the Company's intent to make a positive difference to society. We will work towards doing projects with greater impact and focusing initiatives on communities in which the Company lives and operates.
